Turquoise - Gem Quality

Posted on July 08, 2013 by Brad Bilsten | 2 Comments

We are very lucky to be able to offer genuine gem quality turquoise mined over 83 years ago from the William Tell Mine.  The turquoise is in its unaltered state, and is not stabilized or dyed.  This turquoise was cut in Europe in the 1940's.

The William Tell mine was one of the many turquoise mines in Mineral Park, Arizona, along the western slopes of the Cerbat Mountains.

The mine was eventually purchased by a large copper company in the late 1950's, and these pieces of turquoise have remained in the original miner's family until now and have been set in sterling silver pendants.
